Scientists Say: AI Scanning May Help Early Detection of Parkinson's Disease
Using AI to analyze OCT scanning data of the eyes can detect differences in the thickness of the cellular layers between patients with Parkinson's disease and non-patients. Researchers believe that eye scans can facilitate early detection of the disease and hope for routine implementation in the future. OCT scanning is non-invasive and has been widely used in ophthalmology to reveal cellular layer information.
